Marian A. Weigel,(nee Mennell), 88, of Grafton, Ohio passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. She was born September 12, 1927 in Grafton Township to the late Louis and Treva (nee Benton) Mennell. Marian was a lifelong resident of Grafton Township. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church. Marian was a farmerís wife and homemaker. She enjoyed cake decorating, crocheting, tole painting, square dancing, playing pinnacle and board games. She is survived by her children- Linda Weigel, Grafton, Albert (Lynn) Weigel of Grafton, James Weigel of Grafton, Joyce Walko of Wellington and Jerry (Debbie) Weigel of Grafton. 10 grandchildren. Sister- Theda Barone, Brother- Richard Mennell and sister-in-law: Ruth Mennell. Preceded in death by her husband- Lawrence ď BubĒ Weigel, 2013 and sisters- Berneata Gest and Ada Ruth Vanbuskirk and brothers- Corwin, Willard and Wayne Mennell. Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church for the Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Weds. June 8, 2016 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH Rev. Thomas Dunphy, officiating. Honoring Marianís request, there will be no calling hours. Burial- St. Martin of Tours Church Cemetery, Valley City. In lieu of flowers- The family suggested memorials may be made to the Grafton Township Fire and Rescue Dept. or to St. Martin Church Building Fund. Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City has the honor of serving the Weigel Family.
