Understanding When Needed Most
Etta O. Chase, 83, of Oberlin passed away October 18, 2016. She was born in Conneaut, Ohio on January 23, 1933 to the late Norman and Helen (nee Eaton) Albee. Etta has resided in Lorain County since 1948. Etta was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Grafton. She had been a bus driver for the Lorain County Lucy Idle School and Keystone Local School System. She enjoyed researching her family genealogy history. Etta was quite proud that on her grandfather Eatonís side the family was a direct descendant of the Mayflower, Plymouth, MA. Etta is survived by her children- Katherine (James) Wilmoth, of Wellington, John (Donna) Shaffer of Elyria and Rebecca Hogan of Oberlin. 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Two half-sisters- Norma and Gloria and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband- Allen Chase in 2005, Sister- Marjorie Owen in 2002, Grandson- Daniel Corcoran and stepmother- Gladys Ferguson. Funeral Service- 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located on Durkee Road at the corner of St. Rt. 82, Grafton, OH Calling hours-5:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2016 will be held at the church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Family and friends are asked to meet at the entrance of Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio on Tuesday, October 24, 2016 for a Graveside Service.
