Understanding When Needed Most
Johnnie Mae French, 84 of Spencer, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2016, surrounded by her family. Johnnie was born February 4, 1932 in Atwood, AL to the late Ira and Flora (nee Belcher) Logan. She had resided in Cuyahoga County for most of her life, moving to Spencer in 2013. She had worked for May Company in Downtown Cleveland for 25 years as an assistant buyer in the China department. Johnnie loved to play Bingo, canvass garage sales for bargains. Johnnie was a devoted wife, mother, grand and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her deep love of her family and her awesome cooking she shared with many. Survived by her beloved husband- Thomas, 70 years of marriage; Loving daughters Joan (George) Kemes, Doris (Chuck) Musselman and Dolores (David) Steppenbacker. Cherished grandchildren- Katherine, Karol Ann, Thomas, Andy, David and Brian. Special great grandchildren- Johnny, Daniel, Gabriel, Amber, Kayla, Bethany, Nate, Jacob and Haley. Dear sister- Helen Self. A Private Family Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City. At Johnnie’s request, cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested is desired to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
