Alverta F. Moehle

September 19, 1927 - January 23, 2017

Alverta F. Moehle, age 89, of York Township passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. Alverta was born September 27, 1927 in Medina, Ohio to the late Edward and Viola (nee Deimling) Echle. She has been a lifelong resident of York Township. Alverta was a member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City, where she shared her time serving at many ham and chicken dinners at the church. In her early years, Alverta worked at the A. I. Root Company, Medina and lastly worked the snack shop at Weymouth Country Club. Alverta is well remembered for the talent she had as a seamstress. Many friends and family had alterations done on clothing, many wedding dresses were fitted and prom dresses were made especially by Alverta. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Alverta will be greatly missed by her daughter- Jean (Ron) Glasgow, of Marysville and grandchildren- Allison and Matthew Glasgow, both of Columbus. She was a loving aunt and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband- Richard Moehle, 1982 and a brother- Floyd Echle. Funeral Mass: 1:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road Valley City, Rev. Thomas Dunphy, officiating. Burial- York Township Cemetery, Mallet Creek. Calling hours- 4:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City. In Lieu of Flowers- The family suggests memorials may be made the St. Martin of Tours, Building Fund.
