Walter S. Dailey

September 9, 1922 - January 21, 2018

Walter S. Dailey, 95, of Valley City, Oh passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018 follow a short illness. Walter was born in Olive Hill, KY on September 9, 1922 to the late Albert and Edith (nee Wilburn) Dailey. He lived in Cleveland before moving to Valley City in 1971. He was retired machine operator at General Motors for 30 years. A member of the Local #105 UAW and actively involved in the Valley City VFW Post #5563. Walter had served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and woodworking. Walter will be greatly missed by his family and a multitude of friends. Survived his sister, Inez Nolen ,his nieces, Sandy Adkins, Brenda (Ernie) Gillum, Melinda (Jack) Rodgers & Rhonda (Reuben) Holik and nephews- Randy (Phyllis) Dailey and Mark (Janette) Dailey. Many grand nieces and nephews who will mourn his loss. Preceded in death by his beloved wife- Adeline passed on June 13, 2000, they had been married 46 years. brothers- O.T., Roger and Webster Dailey.
