Understanding When Needed Most
Donna Mae Knight Lantz, 82, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2018 into her heavenly home. Donna was born August 28, 1935 in Lodi to the late Walter and Beatrice (nee Spice) Dieterich. She grew up on the family farm in York Township and has resided in Medina County all her life. Donna graduated from York High School. Donna worked at the former Permold Co. Medina for 15 years and retired in 1992, after 30 years as a secretary at USDA Farmers Home in Medina. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Medina and had served as an election poll worker for many years. Donna was a very gracious lady, hard worker who lived a simple life. She was always willing to help her family and friends at the drop of a hat. She will be greatly remembered for baking and sharing her delicious cookies and for sending greeting cards for all occasions to family and friends. Donna and her late husband Charles Lantz enjoyed traveling after they retired. Donna was the best sister ever to Marlene (Wayne) Roberts, Medina Township and Dianna (Dick) Carver, of York Township. Cherished nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Step son- Thomas (Janet) Knight, Jr. of Medina and granddaughters- Crystal (Kevin) Haug, of Berea and Angie (Pete) Kolomichuk, of Medina. 2 great grandchildren. Private Family Services will be held. Interment at York Township Cemetery, Mallet Creek, OH In lieu of flowers- The family suggests memorials may be made to the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Medina or the Erhart Fire and Rescue Department. The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City has the honor of handling the funeral arrangements.
