Madge L. Dean

October 29, 1936 - August 1, 2018

Madge L. Dean, 81 of Columbia Station, Ohio passed away peacefully into her heavenly home on Weds. August 1, 2018. Madge was born October 29, 1936 in Gassaway, West Virginia to the late Byrne and Carol (nee Hall) Boggs. She grew up in West Virginia moving to Medina/Brunswick before settling in Columbia Station in 1977. Madge was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City. She loved her church and was involved in the Ladies Group, Bible studies, sang in the choir and enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. Madge loved the outdoors. She took great pride in caring for her yard whether it was mowing lawn or working in her gardens. She was an avid sports fan, whether it was the Cleveland teams, OSU or her home town the W.VA Mountaineers. Madge will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of having her in their lives. Survived by her two sons- Roger and Jeff Dean, Grandchildren Marissa and Trevor, great grandchildren, Leighton and Landon. Brothers- Melvin and Marvin Boggs, Sisters- Doris Mae Davis and Linda Enoch. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Dean, 2011. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Valley City, 6936 Center Road Valley City, OH, where funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM. Pastor Pedro Morales will officiate. In lieu of Flowers- The family suggests memorials may be made to Madge’s church in her memory. The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City has the honor of serving Madge’s family.
