Casey G. Casteel

Casey G. Casteel, 42, of Homerville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 following a tragic house fire.

Casey was born in Medina, Ohio on May 29, 1981 to Edward and Denise (Piatt) Casteel. He has been a lifelong resident of Medina County.

He was a graduate of Cloverleaf High School and the TDDS Technical Institute.

Casey worked as a diesel mechanic with Turner Diesel.  He was a gifted mechanic in all types of engine repairs. Casey was well known and loved in his Amish community. He would go the extra mile to help whatever the need might have been.

Casey was a great son, husband, dad, special peepaw and friend to all the lives he touched.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Peggy Wood-Casteel, married in 2015, his mother, Denise Casteel, his children, Shelby Casteel, Chance Casteel, Gabrielle Wood-Campbell and Max Wood. Grandchildren, Killian, Lachlan, Everett and Mae. Also, his brother, Christopher (Kalie) Casteel, and uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.

Preceded in death by his father Edward Casteel, 2017.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sullivan First  Congregational Church, 503 US HWY 224, Sullivan, Ohio  44880 and with a service at 1:00 p.m.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the family to help defray the funeral expenses.
