Christine S. (Chaw) Rhoades

Christine S. Rhoades, 72, of Wellington, Ohio passed away Friday, February 13, 2026.

Christine was born July 27, 1953, in Mt. Pleasant, PA to the late Ernest and Faye Marie (Rhoades) Chaw.  She had resided in Brunswick prior to moving to Wellington 30 years ago.

She was a member of the Brunswick Historical Society. Christine enjoyed researching history, photography and computers. She taught basic internet computer classes to seniors at Lorain Community College and operated her own business Christy’s Computer Cleanup and Repairs. She also did tax preparation for family and friends.

Christine was noted for her annual family picnic on her farm in Wellington.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Wasilko and her son, Scott Schroder; sisters, Patricia (Drew) Hornak, Elizabeth Riddell and a brother Ernest L. Chaw; nieces and a nephew, Nicole Hornak, Margan O’Meara, Heather West, Kalyee and Emilee Riddell, Salina Mills and Brandon Chaw. Christine is also survived by two aunts, Debbie Karl and Vivian Rodano.

Preceded in death by a sister Melissa Chaw.

Following Christine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of life Gathering will be announced at a later date.
