Mary Ann (Klimik) Vithous

MaryAnn Vithous, 92, of Medina, Ohio passed onto her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

MaryAnn was born in Prenter, W VA on April 13, 1933 to the late John and Lorraine (Lobez) Klimik.  She had resided in Cuyahoga County prior to moving to Medina Township in 1967. She was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church, Medina and also was a 50 years member of Eastern Star.

MaryAnn was an assistant treasurer for Phoenix Dye Works, retiring in 2000. After retiring, she worked at her husband’s company Tri County Electric as his bookkeeper.

She was a talented local artist and entering her artwork in Medina’s Art in the Park event for many years, as well as the Medina County Fair receiving Best of Show and many first -place ribbons. She also entered the Medina Gazette Holiday painting contests. MaryAnn was noted for her delicious bakery she shared with family and friends. She was a guiding light who cared deeply about her family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her husband James E. Vithous, married 72 years, and her son, James A. Vithous, grandchildren, James David Vithous and Brittney (Brandyn) Street. She is also survived by her brother Charles Klimik and her sister by marriage, Nancy Vithous.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Norman Klimik.

There will be a visitation held Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Living Word Lutheran Church   3631 Hamilton Road, Medina, Ohio with a Funeral Service at the close of visitation.

Following MaryAnn’s wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
