Understanding When Needed Most
Daniel Cooper, husband of Bonnie passed away May 17, 2019 at the age of 80. He was a beloved father, stepfather, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Dan was a retired United States Postal letter carrier in Lakewood and Rocky River. Because of his hobby of restoring antique cars, Dan had a wide circle of friends from all walks of life. Known as “Mailman Dan” to many, he is remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and artistic nature. He was an avid car show and parade participant. Dan was a study in contrast-a man who listened to NPR and read the New York Times daily. It is that relatability to all that makes him so loved and missed. Following Dan’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or service and cremation has taken place. Donations in Dan’s honor can be made to the Brunswick United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 85, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City, has the honor of serving the Cooper family.
